A functional and modern residential complex in the city of Wroclaw, Poland. The 25,000-square metre area enabled the development of 341 apartments ranging from 22 to 118 square metres. The entire structure’s architectural concept was entrusted to the Maćków Pracownia Projektowa studio, which designed and created a spacious, futuristic and ultra-contemporary residence in the flourishing Polish city.
The architects opted for certain Cotto d’Este collections for the façade, lobby and elevations throughout the entire building. The Forest collection was chosen for the façade, consisting of large 100x300 cm Kerlite 5plus slabs in a walnut shade, creating a striking aesthetic contrast between the traditional warmth of wood and the modern character of the residential complex. The 5.5 mm thickness enables the surface to reproduce highly realistic details such as differences in roughness and relief typical of the fibres of aged and handcrafted wood.
The same collection was also used for the structure’s intermediate elevations, while the lobby features the compact and luminous Kerlite covering from the Cement Project collection in the Color-20 Cem version, also in the 5.5 mm-thick 100x300 format, which very faithfully reproduces concrete effects, both in aesthetic and sensory terms. The Cem variant in particular is reminiscent of hand-laid concrete floors and stands out for its infinite shades of grey and captivating glossy/matt reflection when backlit, a smart, unique effect for this context.
