The head quarters of the Italian brand Yamamay, a leading manufacturer of lingerie, nightwear and beachwear, is located in a newly built structure in Gallarate. This is the design and research centre for the collections and houses the central offices which control a franchising network of hundreds of points of sale in Italy and abroad. The common areas are spacious and bright and the offices have a modern, essential design. The surfaces in wood and glass are uniform and linear. Natural light pours in through large floor-to-ceiling windows and is screened by white fabric curtains. Partition walls in satin-finished glass ensure light even in the corridors. Red is the only colour used, apart from the white of the walls, the ceilings and the sun-screen blinds. Red is the colour used for a small number of structural and furniture elements which lend character to a young, creative work area.
For the flooring the choice went to the ELEGANCE series in its warmest colour shade: Via Montenapoleone. This series is a faithful replica of the Antalya Limestone, the most beautiful limestone of Asia Minor.
