People normally and traditionally imagine mountain homes as places with a strong presence of natural materials, used for both furniture and finishes.
The project, consisting of three floors, an attic and a basement, designed by Simone Del Portico, an architect from Milan, together with his team, perfectly meets clients’ expectations. The goal of the project was to extend the characteristics that are typical of natural materials to neutral elements featuring differentiated concepts, thus creating a sophisticated overall balance.
Bearing in mind this overall vision, ceramics are an element acting as an intermediary for a design idea based on the ductility, the technical characteristics and the aesthetics of Cotto d’Este surfaces.
“The capacity of ceramics to reinterpret natural elements in a substantially true way – said Del Portico – allowed us to study a totally evocative sensory project, thus giving an emotional character to living”. Cotto d’Este surfaces, said Del Portico once again, “strongly contribute to create an integrated level of aesthetics capable of meeting also the strictest technical requirements of a hotel, thus giving extra style to the project”.
