For the flooring of the offices of the headquarters, the ultra-thin slabs of the Kerlite Cement Project collection were used, here proposed in the Cem version, a versatile series in which the distinctly “urban” character of the cement is expressed in a new way. The peculiarity of the material is constituted by its shades of grey and by a fascinating and unprecedented glossy/matt reflection, which, seen against the light, gives it a unique and distinctive character. Cement Project is also part of the PROTECT® line: antibacterial floor and wall coverings that offer very high performance, with a genuine antibacterial silver ion shield incorporated in the tiles, which eliminates up to 99.9% of bacteria from the surface. The true innovation of the project, however, can be found primarily in the way in which floors were laid. In fact, the Kerlite Easy system was chosen, the first certified dry and glue-free laying system for ceramic floors. Kerlite Easy is unique, because it uses ultra-thin ceramic slabs with extraordinary performance which can be applied on top of the existing floor to revamp without demolishing and without having to glue the new materials. All without subsequent processing and with the full guarantee of a quality production process tested by Cotto d’Este in over 15 years of experience and with millions of square metres sold worldwide.
