As background, the architectural perfection of Florence, as foreground, the natural perfection of the Parco delle Cascine and as ideal connection between these two forms of perfection, the Parco della Musica, a bridge between examples of excellence, which will be setting of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino opera festival. A building that offers the audience beauty, purity and aesthetics, which are perfectly interpreted by the ceramic coverings designed by Cotto d'Este with the co-operation of ADBR Studio, to make the building totally unique.

The project has the aim of ensuring the best for a modern musical theatre that offers an excellent range of performances going from operas to concerts, from chamber music to rock, all within a truly multifunctional and versatile building. An opera house with 1850 seats, a concert hall with 1000 seats and a large cavea for outdoor events, service areas and an outstanding theatrical machine comprising: fly tower, stage, laboratories, orchestra pit, rehearsal rooms, changing rooms and depots.

PRODUCT USED

During the production process of Cotto d'Este Laminated Stoneware, a unique digital printing system is employed to create KERLITE AUDITORIUM, a light laminated stoneware with exceptional technical and aesthetic characteristics: acid-resistant and weatherproof, resistant, easy to install, cut and drill. With a thickness of only 3.5 mm and special "customised" sizes, such as the 50x150 cm, as well as the 28 different designs, Kerlite harmoniously blends into the surrounding environment. The intrinsic properties of Kerlite make it the most eco-compatible product currently available on the market. Its environmental impact has been reduced to a minimum and its performance cannot be equalled by any natural stone.
